Now, with the introduction of STV activation through SMS, it comes handy to even a novice to save money with proper selection of plan and STVs. This guide will help you to understand the STVs better.
There are 4 categories of STVs. It may be noted that one number cannot activate more than one STV from each category at a time except for category III and IV. If a second STV from the same category is used , it will override the existing STV.
Category I: Is mix of General purpose STVs (Select Only One STV) for voice calls and SMS which include
1) SMS tariff rate cutter: STV-13 Local and National SMS @ 1 paise for 1 month
2) Local tariff rate cutters (1 month ):
STV–61 30 paise per minute to any network
STV–54 10 paise per minute to BSNL
STV – 300 Unlimited free local calls to BSNL
STV - 28 Local/STD on net Rs.1 for 3 minutes, off net Rs.1.2 for 3 minutes
STV - 12 Free incoming calls while roaming in BSNL network
STV - 17 Night Local/STD 5 paise per minute on net
3) Per Second Plans( 1 month ):
STV-66 & STV-183 ( Validity 30 and 90 respectively) Local :BSNL - 1paise/2sec, Other - 1paise/sec; STD: BSNL 3paise/2sec, Other - 2 paisa/sec
Category II- Unlimited voice calls to BSNL local & STD
STV 31-Unlimited ,Local & STD calls to BSNL Network for 1 day
STV 151- Unlimited ,Local & STD calls to BSNL Network for 7 days
STV 501- Unlimited ,Local & STD calls to BSNL Network for 30 days
STV 23 - 2000 Local & National SMS free
STV 33- 3000 Local & National SMS free
Category IV-GPRS pack for mobiles and data card.
STV: GPRS245 - 6 GB free GPRS - 30 days
STV: GPRS13 - 200 MB GPRS usage – 3 days
STV: GPRS7 - 100 MB GPRS usage – 1 day
STV: GPRS89-2GB GPRS usage – 30 days
Multiple STVs can be used for adding up free usage in category III and IV
Available STVs and its usage are given here for ready reference. To activate an STV, customer can send the code corresponding to the STV as an SMS to 53733 or flexi recharge the amount.
SMS Format:- Eg: STV54 to 53733 (for STV54)
GPRS89 to 53733 (for GPRS89)
The prepaid customer should have a minimum balance more than the MRP of the STV “Value” of the STV. The amount excluding tax will be deducted from the prepaid balance.
